There's been some logistical changes going on over the last couple of months at Zero Waste Network, and the need to have a physical base set up for us has become a reality.

Firstly, we now have an office! Zero Waste Network Australia can now be found at 310 Princes Hwy St Peters NSW, in a CDS Return & Earn depot and office with environmental charities Landcare NSW and CitizenBlue as desk buddies.

Sadly this change has seen the departure of secretary and admin superstar Verity Lougoon. Verity has been with the Network for over four years in various capacities, and chances are if you've engaged with Zero Waste Network at all, you've engaged with Vertity. Zero Waste Network Australia and its members would like to sincerely thank Verity for the huge amount of heart and soul she put into the network over the years, and her constant passion and action for fighting waste. We also farewell Farzana Khan, our finance guru for the last 12 months. Farzana has been an incredible help to the network during her time here, and we wish her all the best for the future.

Stepping into their shoes is a new Admin and Finance Assistant who will be based on the ground  in Sydney (Sophia Felton). Sophia comes from a long line of non-profit environmentally focused charities; covering bases such as project management, admin and executive assisting, event management and finance. She's passionate about the environment and reducing waste in any way, and can't wait to be your new go to for all things bulletin, forum, membership and generally anything else you can think of as a first port of call at ZWNA!

Our membership drive is underway for this year - if you haven't yet renewed, keep an eye out for a renewal notice in your inbox. Or, if you've been thinking about joining ZWNA and its mission for 2018 / 2019: there are a multitude of reasons why you SHOULD! Visit our member page HERE for more information about benefits of a membership with Zero Waste Network.
